So, what is Zoetik exactly?

Well, first it is the name of the company that my husband Teon and I started in 2001. We create clothing, accessories and home goods from eco-friendly sustainable materials. Many of our products also reflect my Caribbean, African, and East Indian heritage, and we also pay homage to many other amazing cultures around the globe from the Pacific Islands to the Middle East and beyond.

More products being added real soon! Check out our website here: http://www.zoetikmovement.com

Secondly, Zoetik is a concept I discovered while searching for a name for our handmade business. It took me about three weeks to find a word in the dictionary (yes, I still use a real paper dictionary lol) that would encompass everything that our company stood for. As it turns out, the definition of Zoetik, written in the dictionary as zoetic, with a c, means living, alive, vibrant, knowing, cognizant…

I played around with the spelling a bit, but the concept was perfect in describing our vision for our company. The name reflects our strong belief in bringing life and light to a potentially dark world. There is so much heartache and despair in this world, its astounding. But, in our 20+ years together, my husband and I share the same vision for Zoetik–that this business enables us to help our brothers and sisters all over the world, through the use of ethical, earth-friendly materials and the promotion of positive and uplifting people, places and things.
